Ingredients:
500g minced lamb
1 onion, finely chopped
2 carrots, diced
2 tbsp Happy Adjika Red Adjika paste
200ml beef stock
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
50g butter
50ml milk
Instructions:
Prepare the Mash: Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, and seasoning. Set aside.
Cook the Filling: In a pan, brown the minced lamb or beef. Add onions and carrots, cooking until softened. Stir in the Red Adjika paste, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and stock. Simmer for 15 minutes, allowing the flavours to meld together.
Assemble: Spoon the meat mixture into an ovenproof dish, spread the mashed potatoes on top, and use a fork to create texture.
Bake: Preheat your oven to 180°C and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and bubbling.
Serve: Dig in and enjoy a Georgian twist on a British classic! Pair with some buttered peas or roasted autumn vegetables for the perfect meal.
